• "Perhaps more than any lecturer I have ever had (I am a third year student), this instructor gave a truly earnest effort to teach the course material to everyone in a way to provide not only a rudimentary ability to satisfy the basic course requirements but also a genuine understanding and intuition of the course content. The lecturer used useful graphical resources from their excellent handwritten notes to give a comprehensive and intuitive explanation for some rather abstract concepts in the course. They regularly linked these concepts to economic theory to help economic students understand their applicability directly to their field of concern. Honestly, this is a rather difficult review to write since there were so many individual things that this instructor did right that a list would be more befitting. Even from silly small things like welcoming the recording viewers to each lecture, I think it was abundantly clear throughout the course that this lecturer gave a mighty effort to teach the course content comprehensively to everyone. I feel comfortable saying that this lecturer was one of the best I have seen as a UQ student."

Kieran has an absolute gift for teaching, and his ability to consistently engage a cohort of young adults and make us want to learn is no easy feat. Considering the severity of my ADHD and my prior distaste for economics, it truly is a testament to Kieran's abilities that I was able to remain completely focused/engaged and eager to learn economics, not only for the duration of a lecture, but for the entire semester. His teaching approach by annotating paper was beyond helpful for my learning as I annotate my slides, and often find myself giving up when lecturers just read through the slides. You were able to explain concepts that I would normally find difficult in really relatable and understandable contexts. I genuinely cannot rave enough about this course and your teaching, and truly, you have a knack for it!! I really wish more lecturers had your passion and approach, and thank you so much for everything!! You truly are amazing at your job, and I cannot believe how much I learnt in and enjoyed this course."

• "Kieran is incredibly passionate about teaching and making difficult concepts easier and more enjoyable for students, and it shows. He treated students with respect and keeps them engaged with small jokes and personal experiences, but is still incredibly dedicated to making sure all the content is covered well and students remain attentive. Challenging lectures were broken down with his personal notes that made things much clearer. He was always very responsive to student requests and I felt very welcome at consults. Kieran has made a notoriously challenging subject engaging and much more manageable while still covering the same level of content."
